Facebook has opened its Messenger API for Instagram. This past autumn, an initial beta test saw Grant 30 developers and 700 brands, including companies such as Ford and H & M, Access to the API. With today’s announcement, any developer wishing to start building for the platform can access the tool, with deployment phase to business accounts to follow. At its simplest size, the API allows brands and businesses to access Instagram messaging tools in their existing service and sales applications, which facilitates the task of customer field messages.
This is something that society has already authorized companies to do on Facebook. This is another example of how Facebook brings all its disparate discussion applications. Since the end of last summer, you have been able to opt in a new Instagram messaging experience, allowing you to contact Facebook users who do not have Instagram accounts.
