Launched to mark the World Race Day, the SmartWatch GPS boils things with its essential, especially for those who just want to keep track of their shopping. It has its own GPS to keep track of your location after leaving your phone at home.
The Forerunner 55 has the basics of what you will need to monitor your activity and your health, including heart rate monitoring. For everything else, I like to receive notifications or even send emergency alerts, you will want to have your nearby smartphone.
