Lucid’s Luxury EV will play directional warning sounds with Dolby Atmos

Lucid has finally revealed the cabin interface for his air Luxury EV, and that’s what you will see for a high-end sedan – plus a touch of surk. It focuses on a 34-inch screen, 5K “glass cockpit” that includes a central instrument cluster, “kernel” controls on the left (reflections and wipers) and an infotainment hub. The central column, meanwhile, has a retractable “driver panel” that usually offers climate controls and seat, but can also manage advanced music and navigation requests that you transfer the smallest cockpit view.

Unlike the interiors of Tesla modern, however, Lucid’s approach has not focused on digital first and foremost. The dash, the doors and the wheel include physical controls for the tasks that the constructor feels “better served” by real switches and other flip-flops. This includes even the speaker system – you will get directional warning sounds and alerts in Dolby Atmos Audio. You probably do not need a total immersion to know that your car needs a recharge, but Lucid does not clearly do not put his system with 21 speakers to waste.

You will find some software features of rail, including air updates as well as support Apple Carplay and Auto Android.

This would have been surprising to some extent so lucid had no interface like this for an EV that starts at $ 77,400. Cars like the Porsche TaCan and future EQ Mercedes tend to wrap the drivers in screens while providing physical reinsurly familiar controls. In this sense, however, Lucid seems to be on the brand. He will send the air in the second half of the year, knowing that his interior is at least comparable to the best on the market. This could go down to execution – Lucid’s user interface looks good in press photos, but the real world experience is what matters.
